The Opportunity
Players looking for more control over the pocket shape have been tinkering with different knots and top string methods to increase the "V" shaped zone of tension in their pockets. We wanted to create simple way to help build a better pocket channel.
The Idea
Why not add a recessed seventh hole in the middle of the scoop to allow players to lock in their channel, in an easy, intuitive way that doesn’t require arcane knowledge of knots and strings?
The Results
LOCK IT DOWN
The player can now pull the mesh up tightly into the recessed area to enhance the amount of tension in the channel of his pocket for optimal control. STX holds U.S. Patent #11,040,258 for this design.
